Company turned their backs on loyal customers in the end
Julep decided to stop their subscription service. This was a business decision- I am alright with that.
Mavens accumulated Jules (points towards other purchases) each month. I myself had quite a few. I noticed the last couple of months before they made their announcement- OUT OF THE BLUE- they removed their customer service number; did not honor their promo codes and when I e-mailed them I did not receive my BOGO polish I had ordered; was told my money would be returned to my account for the missing polish- What money would be returned- It was buy one get one free- I paid for one; they are going to return my money on the "free" one??? In the end, if I had known they were going to stop the mail subscription- I would have cashed in my Jules- but like their announce stated- ALL JULES ARE NULL AND VOID- shame on you Julep- you should have given your loyal customers who stood behind you for years the opportunity to use their Jules before the service was cancelled.
I really think stopping the service will be the end of the company within a year. What they did great was their polish. They have been working the circuit in places like QVC and Ulta. I believe they have had some success due to them being the "new beauty company" to those who did know about this small company.
However packaging is cute and well thought out but the QUALITY is not there (skin care and cosmetics). Polish is what they do best and even though price per ounce it was expensive- what made it great was the quality of the polish. That is one of the things I do not understand- Julep is nail polish; not skin care and cosmetics. I hope they change their minds before they go under as they say.
I think this decision will be the beginning of the end for the company. Only time will tell- good luck Julep- sad to see you go.

Preferred solution: Either honor our JULES balance on your site or send coupon for the value of the JULES. Your well deserves success is due to your loyal customers who supported when you were a small company from Washington state; you need to do right.

I’m literally having this exact same issue right now. 3 years later and they haven’t improved from your experience 3 years ago. With all the competition out there, I can get makeup somewhere else.
