Be careful when placing holiday orders

I placed an order on Cyber Monday with Julep - I understand that orders take time but 9 days later the order has not shipped. I reached out to customer service requesting the status and explaining these were holiday items and are not useful if not received in time. I received no shipping timeframe, no apology - just a return label. I will not be paying to return anything - I will not open, drop in mailbox with "return to sender" and dispute the charge. I have my communications with this company saved with their non answer and non- existent customer service. You can't call - this is the only way to communicate which is probably best - I can forward to Amex. They are sending me emails as late as today touting stocking stuffers - really? Do not order if you really need items for Christmas - I have no idea when I will get my package and they won't even answer when I ask - not even a timeframe. I am totally disgusted with the lack of concern for customer concerns - terrible service.

I’m literally having this exact same issue right now. 3 years later and they haven’t improved from your experience 3 years ago. With all the competition out there, I can get makeup somewhere else.

I placed an order on cyber monday - it has been in process for 9 days. I emailed to ask when it would be received and if not by Christmas I would want to cancel. The person that responded never gave me a time frame or status - sent me a return form. I emailed back that I only wanted to return if not rec'd by Christmas. Someone nicely replied that they would send tracking once shipped. A couple of hours later the first person who was so rude cancelled my order. Worst customer service ever!!! They billed me on 12/3 and now tell me to wait 10 days for a refund? Worst company ever - will be out of business soon.none I wanted my merchandise - not a refund weeks after and no order. They are probably the worst company I have dealt with in a long time. No customer service number - do not order from this company.

I am not a customer & dont know how this company got my email address. Out the blue I have received tons of e-mails, I have responded unsubscribe me multiple times. They responded you dont have an account with us, what do that have to do with unsubscribing my email address. And what do you know there is not a phone number to call, AT THIS POINT THIS IS HARASSMENT!!!!

Think before you purchase

Make up sticks dry. Emailed their customer told me they would not refund my money since i did not purchase $50 worth of product. Dont see that on their return policy nor on their tems of service. I asked for transparency. No response

Julep decided to stop their subscription service. This was a business decision- I am alright with that.

Mavens accumulated Jules (points towards other purchases) each month. I myself had quite a few. I noticed the last couple of months before they made their announcement- OUT OF THE BLUE- they removed their customer service number; did not honor their promo codes and when I e-mailed them I did not receive my BOGO polish I had ordered; was told my money would be returned to my account for the missing polish- What money would be returned- It was buy one get one free- I paid for one; they are going to return my money on the "free" one??? In the end, if I had known they were going to stop the mail subscription- I would have cashed in my Jules- but like their announce stated- ALL JULES ARE NULL AND VOID- shame on you Julep- you should have given your loyal customers who stood behind you for years the opportunity to use their Jules before the service was cancelled.

I really think stopping the service will be the end of the company within a year. What they did great was their polish. They have been working the circuit in places like QVC and Ulta. I believe they have had some success due to them being the "new beauty company" to those who did know about this small company.

However packaging is cute and well thought out but the QUALITY is not there (skin care and cosmetics). Polish is what they do best and even though price per ounce it was expensive- what made it great was the quality of the polish. That is one of the things I do not understand- Julep is nail polish; not skin care and cosmetics. I hope they change their minds before they go under as they say.

I think this decision will be the beginning of the end for the company. Only time will tell- good luck Julep- sad to see you go.

Not given Mavens the opportunity to use up their Jules BEFORE ending subsciption services is shameful. What good is 25% off when our Jules give us product for free (that would be 100% off).

Preferred solution: Either honor our JULES balance on your site or send coupon for the value of the JULES. Your well deserves success is due to your loyal customers who supported when you were a small company from Washington state; you need to do right.

Several weeks ago I received my order from JULEP, but there were problems, one (1) nail polish broke and leaked all over two (2) others causing them to stick shut. I tried to call the telephone # listed on receipt to no avail. Sent several emails, again, no luck. Now I have to file in court to get satisfaction.

Bought products Nov 27 account debited Nov 28th it was Jan sent email Jan 15th sent email, still no products sent atleast 5 emails no return answer. Asked for money back returned to me 20th Jan. Would of rather had the products or at least a call or text for reason for delay. Sad Shocked

They were good, and then they weren't

They were WONDERFUL when they wanted the new subscription. Then I would send inquiries online and NEVER receive a reply until I had to call them after 2-3 inquiries. Only at that point would they do anything. The last time, they knew my box was VERY late, so they apologized and were SUPPOSED to add another free box to my account. Well, my last box came, and it didn't have in it what it should have, so I emailed them THREE times (we are going on 2 weeks of no reply), and also noticed that my account never got the extra box credited to it. Still no reply---called today, and guess what? They aren't answering any calls, leave a voice mail only and they'll get back to you when they can. Super disappointed...I love their product, but if the Customer Service sucks, they aren't getting my business any longer.

I have been waiting for two weeks for my regular order to find out they haven’t even shipped yet. I spent 70 dollars plus before Black Friday to get certain colors so they wouldn’t sell out and this has been such a horrible experience. I won’t be ordering from them again.

Not Nail Polish.. It's nail water!

Most horrible polish ever! It goes on like water, it streaks and there is absolutely NO SHINE.. I've experimented with this many times.. Major Pain and so NOT worth it. To make this work and look like their claims.. HA, Apply three coats let dry completely then add one or two coats of Infinite Shine by a real nail polish company O.P.I. or my favorite polish ESSIE! Have fun spending hours on this nonsense. Do yourself a favor, Don't waste your money on this Vegan Product.. I've had good results with another Vegan brand and that Brand is PACIFICIA!

I wanted to like Julep and I did at first, but I had my subscription less than a year. I appreciate how you can curate your own box and you can skip months. However, the make up is not quality. Their eyeshadows break easily, the powder has come apart (and no, I didn't drop it!) and the eyeshadow pencil - the eyeshadow fell out!. Lastly, I got their lip gloss which I love, but the lid's glue which attached it to lip brush came undone causing gloss to spill! UGH! I haven't had a problem with their polishes, so if that's what you're looking for and no make up go for it, otherwise skip it!

Tried the polish- chunky, doesn't go on smooth or shiny and takes forever to dry! Tried their quick dry drops. What a joke. 3 hours later, nails still aren't solid. Don't waste your money!
